Membership is restricted to community foundations because the network itself is the driving power of this collaboration. While CFCC membership is limited to community foundations across the US, we expect robust partnerships with other organizations in our advancement of the work.

CFCC works collaboratively to advance three goals:

  • Change the conditions in which community foundations operate in order to accelerate the pace of equitable energy transition as well as adaptation/resilience measures in our communities—including lifting up community priorities; increasing community-based organizations’ access to public dollars; and ensuring that projects and programs address historical inequities.

  • Build the capacity of individual community foundations to serve as resources to and bridges within their communities.

  • Build our network capacity in order to ensure both the sustainability and fundability of CFCC’s collective work.
